Teresa Bonvalot Wins 4th Round of the Liga Moche Surf Pro Tour at Sintra

13th July 2015 – The fourth stage of the League Moche Allianz Sintra Pro National Circuit of surfing competition wrapped up in Sintra, Portugal on the weekend with the girls dominating some solid 3-5 foot waves. As part of the Allianz Triple Crown the event was successful with great waves and a large crown on the beach.

The current national champion Teresa Bonvalot is just 15 years old and took home the victory of the Allianz Sintra Pro in Allianz Triple Crown and yet the Ramirez Junior Award, a trophy that rewards the best junior league MOCHE with 2,500 € per year.

In the final women, Teresa left her team mate and 2013 national champion, Carina Duarte, in a second very close position The winner of the second stage this year, Camilla Kemp came in, in third place and Leonor Fragoso in a creditable fourth place.

Teresa said after her win “The conditions were difficult, but part of the game choose the best among so many waves. I’m happy with the win and hope that the next two steps count on good waves. I had to make an important choice to be here to compete, but eventually compensate, it gave even all right!”Said the champion, who has put her name on two wins and two second places in the League MOCHE for 2015.

This win keeps Teresa in the number one position on the rankings after 4 events. CLICK TO SEE LEADERBOARD – There is one final MOCHE-League in September for the girls which also counts towards the women’s national rankings for 2015.
