30th August 2015 – Today wrapped up the final of the WQS event the Anglet Pro France at Chambre d’Amour. With only two WQS events left, time is running out for the girls to make their mark in the rankings to make the Dream Tour for 2016.

Anglet provided great surf over the week with offshore conditions in the 3-4 foot range. It was a great opportunity for the local girls to get themselves some points on the QS ladder and they did it with style.

Alizé Arnaud and Pauline Ado, both French surfers had a finals show down. Alizé was the most active throughout the final and Pauline showed patience. Alizé was rewarded with a perfect left that allowed her to pocket a 7.17. Pauline then answered back with speed and a series of maneuvers that offer her an 8.33 points and enough to win the event.

“I’m super happy.” Said Pauline after the final.  “I have a little extra pressure when surfing at home because I know this beach. Although this is not QS 6000 is an important competition. We had some great waves, I really wanted to do well in front of my family and friends. We don’t often the opportunity to surf in front of our family and friends. I hope it will give me confidence for the next event in Pantin and I’ll try to go for a big result there.”

Alizé the young surfer from Capbreton felt at home throughout the week, with excellent surfing. She said “Pauline has surfed very well. It was a pretty tough final. I worked hard to try and make a comeback but Pauline’s waves combo’ed me. It was a great event and I’m happy to make it to the final.”
