Mahalo Surf Eco Festival Results
It was the 2nd last event on the ASP World Qualifying Series for the year and it came down to 2 Hawaiian girls Tatiana Weston-Webb and current WCT surfer Alessa Quizon.
ASP Women’s 4-Star Mahalo Surf Eco Festival presented by Skol was held in Praia da Tiririca in Itacare, Brazil had great conditions in the 3-4 foot range for the whole event – check out the clip below. The event attracted some of the world’s top WCT contenders with Silvana Lima, Maud Le Car and Jacqueline Silva all putting on top level performances in effort to gain extra points as the year comes to a close.
The final between Tatiana Weston-Webb and Alessa Quizon was a fantastic close to the event in Bahia and with just over 1 point between them (14.7 – 13.6) on the final siren it was Tatiana who took the win and secured her spot on the World Championship Tour and the world’s top 17 girls for 2015. Tatiana says “My dream came true today…beyond blessed and thankful for everyone that’s supported me along the way. Can’t thank my family, friends and fans for all believing in me.”
