Keshia Eyre Wins 2nd Boardmasters Title
Boardmasters at Fistral Beach in Cornwall, England has had an epic weekend of surf, music and festival entertainment. On the beach the swell picked up from 1 foot to, as predicted to 3-4f oot onshore thanks to Hurricane Bertha. Some of the festival’s dry land events were cancelled by the surfing went forward and the finals for the Sungod Women’s Open were held at Fistral beach.
CONGRATS KESHIA EYRE from Manchester for taking out the win and all the girls in the semis and finals who surfed in some testing and difficult (hurricane force) conditions. The 2013 winner put everything she had into the final heat to defend her title.
After claiming the back-to-back win Keshia said “It feels super good (to win again), I was so nervous before the final, so for me to win it again made me really happy. It’s a good lead for the next event for Keshia who says “I’m off to france now for the Swatch Girls Pro for the QS and the Pro Junior and then off to Spain for another QS.
“My local break is Riberia de Ilhas in Portugal, it a really fun right hander but my favourite spots would have to be Rincon in California is super fun, and so is Haleiwa in Hawaii.”
