Justine Dupont Wins Vieux Boucau Longboard Festival
Justine Dupont is a multi-talented surfer, a 23 year old from France, she just wraped up at the Swatch Girls Pro before the start of the Vieux Boucau Longboard Festival and as a result of winning the Vieux Voucau has been crowned the ASP European Longboard Champion 2014.
In offshore 2-3 foot clean waves in Plage Nord in France, Dupont took on the finals heat against Alice Lemoigne, Coline Menard and Victoria Vergara in the 1-star event. She snatched the win from Lemoigne, who held 1st with one high scoring waves for most of the 25 minutes but in the dying minutes of the final Dupont found a 2nd high scoring wave and implemented style and power to push her to top spot.
“I’m super happy, I haven’t won heats in a while so to come here and compete at home, surf with all my friends and win, was great.” Dupont said.
Justine Dupont is making her mark on the whole surf industry successfully competing and making her name known in longboarding to big-wave surfing, ultimately becoming one of the best surfers in all disciplines. With the regional crown under her belt, Dupont will look to post a major result in China for the World Longboard Title.
“I love doing all of this, each is a different side of the sport and I just enjoy myself in the ocean no matter what board I ride,” Dupont added. “I never get bored in the water, this is my passion and I’ll spend as much time out there as I can.” – WHAT AN INSPIRATIONAL WATER WOMAN!!
