27th July 2015 – 21 year old Australian Ironwoman and champion paddle boarder JORDAN MERCER has won her 5th Molokai to Oahu World Paddle Championship Title today completing the ‘Channel of Bones’ in 6 hours and 9 minutes. The 19th year of this extraordinary race was blessed with choppy channel swells and tough conditions for the girls.

Although not her fastest crossing of the 32 mile / 51 km marathon course between the two Hawaiian islands, Jordan has set another record with this, her 5th consecutive title.

The Noosa Ironwoman has been set on her win since last year’s effort telling The Mermaid Society earlier in July  (SEE STORY) “The Molokai is such a mental game, obviously the training and preparation is really tough, it really is hard and I know it has to be because the race is like nothing else.”

“Each year it’s a totally different journey and I’m a new person each and every time,” Mercer said of her multiple wins. “I’m so happy to be back on Oahu because that was so hard, but I’m so glad I put in all the hard work (in training) that I did.”

Congratulations of Jordie on this world class effort! Stay tuned for more post-race interviews…
