Chelsea Tuach Wins WQS 2015 Pantin Classic in Spain

6th September 2015 -Barbados surfer Chelsea Tuach has won her first World Qualifying Series event in Spain today and as a bonus has qualified for the World Championship tour in 2016.
The week has had many highs and lows for the girls in this event as the QS tour winds down and 2015 WCT qualification and requalification becomes a reality.
The conditions have been changing over the week and with a couple of lay-days it was good to finish the event today in Spain with 2-3 foot waves at the beautiful Galicia.
The Final between Chelsea Tuach and Leti Calales Bilbao was tight over a 30 minute heat with the girls going wave for wave. Chelsea locked in a 6.50 with 10 minutes to go and that got her across the line to take the win and her dream of WCT qualification.
Chelsea said after her win via social media, “This is so surreal! Winning my first QS 6,000 and qualifying for the dream tour all in one day. This year has had its ups and downs on the qualifying series but I put all the knowledge from those heartbreaking losses to this incredible win today. #nevergiveup. I want to thank everyone who has sent me messages of support and congratulations and to the people in Barbados for always having my back and supporting me throughout the years, this win is for you!”
