Carina Duarte has won the third stage of the Moche League’s Sumol Port Pro at Palm Tree Beach in Portugal

In a 3 foot swell the conditions were favourable for some fast moves by the girls.

The finals were tight but it was Carina Duarte was in control with good wave choices and a variety of big moves, came into the event in 2nd place on the national ranking, and this weekend defeated champ, Teresa Bonvalot to take the event 3 win (although Teresa still remains on top of the national ranking). Carol Henry came in third and Ana Branch in 4th.

The biggest surprise of the day was the elimination of Camilla Century, winner of the previous stage, in the semi finals, along with the Junior Mariana Assisi. All the girls are bringing more and more in the form into the League Moche for 2015.

“The level of the Portuguese female surf is increasingly high, so there are surprises in every round, it’s making us step up and train a lot to be more to stay ahead. I am very pleased with this victory, and I hope that in the next three stages will be able to show my best surfing,” Said Carina after her win of the Divine Sumol Port Pro 2015.
