Conditions were perfect in the Portuguese Spring sunshine on the weekend for the Liga Moche Allianz Caparica Pro. In an effort to continue her winning streak Teresa Bonvalot worked hard on the golden sands of Costa da Caparica against some of Europe’s best female surfers.
Costa da Caparica is about 20 minutes south of Lisbon and is a long sandy beach along the west coast of Portugal.
Camilla Kemp who has been travelling and competing on the WSL Qualifying Series Tour said of the event “The conditions were pretty good, although that beach break is a little tricky and changes constantly.”
After a consistent performance throughout the competition Camilla took to the water in the finals and found just the right waves to secure her point score above her fellow finalists with an 8 and 5 locked in. She said “Teresa Bonvalot, Carina Duarte, Keshia Eyre and Carol Henrique are always challenging competitors for me and we often meet in the semis or finals of the national competition in Portugal. It’s always a fierce competition between us out there in the water because we’re all so hungry to win.”
