2017 Summer Wetsuit Guide – Billabong
Billabong was founded in 1973 and has been a major part of surfing and the surf industries development over that time. They continue to support women with their dynamic designs and prints each year and are sponsors of some of the most dominant female athletes in surf. These suits are AX1 Super Flex neoprene.
TARNEA SAID: The back zip doesn’t get in the way of or restrict head movement (sometimes you get those ones with the massive velcro at the top but Billabong made sure to make it comfortable). This suit was boy leg that was actually really comfortable and long enough to not ride up the legs. It was very flexible and felt like I could paddle for days in it and comfortable and safe in all conditions. You wouldn’t be having to worry about readjusting it. I loved the colours they have produced and it still looks really good on with the boy leg cut. They have colour blocked really well to highlight the figure. The best thing about it was lightweight but still warm and super comfortable!
BRITT SAID: This suit was very light and flexible, the range of movement was great. It was extremely comfortable, easy to paddle and surf in, with a wider/tighter fit around the bottom which meant there was no need to readjust anything.
I loved the nice bright colours, complimenting not only the wetsuit but also the surfer wearing it. The best thing about it would have to be its light weight, flexibility, practicality, comfort, warmth and vibrant colours.
