Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival Chile Preview

We are pumped to bring you all the news and results from the 2014 Antofagasta Festival in Chile 26th – 30th August.  Australia’s  Lilly Pollard goes in to the 2nd event on the Association of Bodyboard Professionals tour in number one spot after breaking her neck earlier this year and is feeling fitter and stronger than ever to hold her position

Antofagasta is a northern city of Chile and is located below Arica, where the Atacama Desert meets the Pacific Ocean. “With more than 20 waves within the city, this off the beaten path city will surprise you.” The competition site has a solid and “long left hander with a barrel section and a few air ramps to boost.” from the APB website

Magicseaweed is predicting 2-4 foot waves at 12 seconds on a SW swell and light winds. The swell will be dropping off over the week after a big surge this weekend. Maybe it can hold on a few more days…
